In 1971, the popular television series, Mr. Men and Little Miss, launched as a silly show targeted towards children. Recently however, characters from the show have been posted as darkly humorous memes on the internet.

The LittleMissNotesApp Instagram account has amassed over two million followers by posting memes of these characters, often with captions like “Little Miss Lexapro” or “Mr. Vape Cloud,” expressing a dark twist on the show’s characters.
