Popular campfire cooking techniques include direct heat cooking, indirect heat cooking, and open flame roasting. Direct heat cooking is when you place the food directly over the flames, which includes grilling. Indirect heat cooking uses tools for cooking, like placing the food on a pan. My favorite kind of indirect heat cooking is foil packets. You need to wrap the food you want in foil and then place it in the coals. simplest and effective method, including stick roasting and plank cooking.
