Do you know anyone who plays sports? Do any of them do it for school, forcing them to skip class to attend it, or even travel to other schools to play games? Managing time and stress is a major challenge for student-athletes, but there are some ways to balance it including bringing homework to games, eating well, & getting enough sleep.
A major challenge student-athletes face is the amount of time they have. Many student-athletes have practice 2-4 hours a day “is it difficult being a student athlete. This may leave them with less than 2 hours to do homework or work on projects.
One way to help with this is to bring homework to practice or games. This helps athletesthem get work done when they would otherwise be waiting. For example, in Basketball, only 5 players are allowed on the court at once, but there are 12 on a team which means most of the game is just waiting. This gives a lot of time to do work.
Coping with stress is another way to help with this problem. Some ways to reduce stress are eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, and staying clear of caffeine. You should be eating a balanced diet and eating healthy fats such as nuts and avocados. Avoid caffeine after 4pm, and get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
Many students do sports for different reasons such as doing it for fun, to get exercise, and for scholarships.
Even though students may struggle, they can have fun while doing it. And as long as they can keep up with their work, playing sports for school is such a bad thing.
