Teachers were looking at weather warnings and even cancelled activities that involved strenuous exercise. They try to do anything to keep the students cool in the school.
Now worse, the UK might see its hottest day in history. The forecast says that the temperature could be over 40 degrees Celsius! On Monday people predicted that it would be the hottest day of the week on record with 37.1 degrees Celsius.
Even though Northern Ireland and Scotland are on holiday, in England, people are trying hard to keep the kids cool. They started to let kids wear PE Kits and drink more water. Even the time outside was reduced a lot!
A school even banned ovens as food technology since it can heat up the cafeteria. The heat even caused one school to ban hot food and only allowed cold food. Parents that volunteer for lunch-making were given neck fans to wear!
