US Democrat President Joe Biden drops out of election, Vice President Kamala Harris win’s Biden’s endorsement

On July 21st, President Biden announced to his staff that he was no longerparticipating in the presidential election. One minute later, that message was posted online.

24 days priorPresident Biden attended a debate against former Republican president Donald Trump, who was also running for the election. Biden’s behavior at the debate, with a raspy voice and inability to finish his sentences, caused many of his allies and Democrats to wonder if the eighty-one-year-old was still strong enough to run as president.

With Joe Biden only having half a year left in his term, Donald Trump took this as an opportunity to get more votes.

“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – and never was!” Donald Trump stated on his social media site.

At Rehoboth Beach, Biden became upset at allies deserting him. Ron Klain, his adviser and former White House chief of staff, showed anger on social media, blaming “donors and electeds” for “pushing out the only candidate who has ever beaten Trump.”

According to the New York Times, “In bowing out, Mr. Biden became the first president in 56 years to give up a chance to run again.”

After Biden dropped out, he endorses ifty-nine year old current vice president Kamala Harris
“I am honored to have the president’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” Harris said. “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party — and unite our nation — to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda.”

According to The Times of Israel, CNBC, and NBC News, Harris is three percent ahead of Trump.
