Welcome to another story about the Star Kingdom. Just as I did in the last chapter, I will be introducing a new character to you. This character’s name is Arella, and yes, this Arella is a total heaven. Arella is a Libra, so her Zodiac stone has a Libra symbol engraved upon it.
However, unlike in the last chapter, when we learned that Astra and Leah were BFFs, Arella doesn’t know Astra or Leah—not yet, anyhow. Want to know more? Keep reading to find out!
“Arella, Arella honey!” Arella’s mom shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
“Coming, Mother!” Arella replied as she packed her bags.
Arella dragged her luggage down the stairs and hid her Libra stone in a side pocket of her luggage. Why, though? You might well ask why Arella would hide her Zodiac stone. Well, it’s quite simple. Long story short, her dad is a normal person (a human being), and her mom is a star-born and her mom doesn’t have the guts to tell her dad that she and Arella are both star-borns. As a result, the mother and daughter must hide everything that relates to the Star Kingdom from Arella’s dad.
“Mother, are you sure Father isn’t going to get suspicious? I feel utterly terrible about leaving him here worrying about where we are.” Arella sighed.
“Arella, honey, I have booked him a trip to the other side of the globe, so he won’t be the only one at home,” her mom reassured her.
“Are you going with him?” Arella asked.
“No, peppermint, I’m coming with you. I’m sure you’ll meet some new friends your age there, too,” her mom said persuasively.
“Yes, Mother,” Arella replied.
After dropping Arella’s dad off at the airport and saying a bunch of farewells, Arella’s mom took her to an empty restroom.
“Arella, do you have your stone?” her mother questioned.
“Mother, I do,” Arella spoke.
“Hold onto my hand so we won’t end up on different teleportation platforms,” Her mother ordered.
After a few minutes of experiencing a tight and rough teleportation, Arella and her mom landed on the bright scattering of stars that formed the Star Kingdom and made their way to a small, pretty house. They settled their things and decided to stroll about.
“Look, there are two girls over there! Maybe you can ask them to hang out with you.” Arella’s mother suggested.
“Okay, I will. Hi, you two! I’m Arella. Can I play ball with you?” Arella asked the girls.
“Sure! I’ll try and get the ball out of the hedge,” one of the girls answered.
“Come with us, we’ll play over here.” The other girl beckoned.
“I’m Astra, and this is Leah!” Astra said.
“Nice names! Okay, I’ll try to catch the ball!” Arella yelled.
After about an hour of getting the ball caught in hedges and trying not to bump into one another in the peaceful garden, Arella and the two girls decided to get dinner at a nearby café.
“Oh! We should try that one! Star Foods to Fill You Up!” Leah exclaimed.
“Sure, I’ve always wanted to try that one.” Astra replied.
“I bet their menu is good!” Arella called out happily.
“Arella, I’ll be outside on a bench.” Arella’s mom told her.
After ordering and taking their first bites, the girls were amazed at how delicious the food was. But something didn’t sit right with Arella.
“We should come here more often—a new restaurant to visit! Right Arella? Arella?” Astra asked.
“Oh, sorry, I was just looking at that man. He looks so familiar—too familiar.” Arella answered.
“Well, he might be that star-scout who wasn’t caught.” Leah suggested.
“No, he would have let the other star-scouts out of Star Prison by this time, so I doubt that he’s the one.” Arella reassured them.
Astra and Leah prattled on about some new room in the Star Tower, and how they were very excited to visit it. Arella still couldn’t remember where she had seen this man before. The man looked at Arella and when he saw her staring at him, he looked away, stood up, and left.
“Arella? Arella? Your mom is calling you.” Astra told Arella.
“Oh, sorry. Bye,” Arella apologized as she left the café.
“Did you have fun?” Arella’s mother asked.
“Mother, do you mind going back to the house without me? I want to take a stroll,” Arella said.
Arella spied on the man as he walked down an alleyway. She hunched down behind a wall as she listened in on his phone conversation with someone.
“Yes, they have no idea. The girl may have seen me but she still doesn’t know.” The man explained.
What? Was “the girl” her? Who was the man speaking with on his phone? Arella wondered as she strolled out of the alleyway.
“Yes, I will follow Arella. I’m going back to Earth tomorrow,” the man said to whoever he was talking to.
Wait, what in the world? The man knew her name? The man turned around and Arella gasped with fear and shock. The man was none other than her father! Pulling her phone out of her purse, Arella snapped a quick picture and ran home to her mom. Arella barged through the door and showed the photo to her mother.
“Oh, my goodness, Arella! I thought you knew you’re supposed to knock! Wait, is this your father? He doesn’t know anything about the Star Kingdom—or does he?” Her mother gasped.
“I know, so I followed him and he was speaking with someone on his phone. It sounded like another man. He said he was going back to the human world tomorrow, so we should get going.” Arella explained.
“But we just got here, like, four hours ago!” Arella’s mother mentioned.
“We are just going to confront him and come right back.” Arella explained.
“Sure, but it’s late and we should be going to bed.” Arella’s mother said as she yawned and made her way to her bedroom.
The next day, Arella and her mother got ready to teleport back to their Earth house from the Star Kingdom. It was a rough ride teleporting back to their Earth house, and when they arrived someone grabbed Arella and her mother with his strong hands. Arella shrieked with fear, thinking there was a strange man in their home.
“Your father wants to talk to you, NOW! ” the man commanded. The man was of course her dad.
They sat down as Arella’s dad poured some tea. There was a moment of awkward silence when Arella finally spoke.
“Father, explain why you were in the Star Kingdom, and not on your trip,” Arella urged her father.
“Well, you book me a trip every year, and I find this suspicious. I pretended to get on the plane, but I followed you two, instead. When I saw you doing something suspicious while holding a stone with a Libra symbol on it, I jumped up right before you disappeared and I landed in another world. I was guessing this had something to do with stars, so I followed you. I hired an investigator to see what secrets you’ve been keeping from me. Now I know why you both have star birthmarks, and you didn’t even bother to tell me!” Arella’s father explained and complained at the same time.
“I’m really sorry; I just thought that dragging you into this mess would be worse!” Arella’s mother burst into tears.
“Father, I apologize, but now that you know, you can come with us,” Arella suggested.
“Arella, we can’t risk it. A human is not supposed to go to the Star Kingdom—it’s the law there. Your father was lucky he wasn’t caught.” Arella’s mother sighed.
“But Astra said her dad was a human.” Arella mentioned.
“He is the only human to be allowed in the Kingdom because Astra’s mom is extremely loyal. King Night trusted Astra’s mom to make sure her dad wouldn’t betray us in any way.”
“It’s okay, we’ll get our things and stay on Earth for the rest of the summer.” Arella replied.
“You can invite Astra and Leah if they would like to visit, but don’t tell anyone about this.” Arella’s mom suggested.
“I guess. Father, we will be right back!” Arella said as she stood up.
They teleported out of the human world and back to the Star Kingdom. They quickly packed their things and tried to find Astra and Leah. After a few minutes, they found them in the garden. After a great deal of effort, all four of them teleported to the house on Earth and decided to settle down.
I guess I’ve come to the end of this episode about Arella, so I’ll just stop here. See you in Chapter 4!
