The Industrial Revolution had a significant impact on the political, economic, and social

development of the United States. During the movement, the government supported their

merchants by adapting beneficial laws and maintaining high tariffs on foreign products. The

government also provided land for railroad construction, which sped up the transportation of

goods.

Many inventions during the Industrial Revolution had a long-lasting impact on the

industrialization of the US. Manufacturing lines and factories shortened the process of

production, which made products more affordable to ordinary people.

While industrialization helped the middle and upper classes to increase their standard of living, the lower working class was still struggling. The technological innovations made working in factories dull, tired, and sometimes even dangerous. Many workers were forced to work extreme long hours with minimum wages.

The Industrial Revolution brought many social problems to the US. Child labor, severe working

condition, low wages are all large issues during that time. Children weren’t educated properly,

instead worked in factories for long hours with severe working conditions. Many died while

working on dangerous tasks without proper protection. Although the kids and the adults worked their hearts out, their wages were still minimum and sometimes none.
