The Acceptance letter Finale

Five years have have passed since I chose my power of healing and medicine. Five hard years. Sleepless nights trying to master it. Learning the history and all I need to know to take the test.

My friend Bob was ready, too. We had decided that we were going to take the test today. He chose the money power, allowing him to learn all the things that he needs to make money. He and I were going to start a medicine business to eliminate all the sicknesses in the world, including cancer, famine, and the flu.

When we entered the room, I saw lots of people standing there, anxiously waiting to take the test. Finally, after 15 minutes, teachers came out and led us to the power testing rooms. My room was white, with only 3 people inside. There was a big table for each of us and doctors at each of them. It looked like we were going to take a paper exam and show the doctors how we used our powers to see if we were ready to use them. I had butterflies in my stomach because I knew that if I failed, it was another 5 grueling years of studying.

The test went smoothly. We started off easily. The doctors asked me questions and asked me to show them something that my power could do. One thing that they wanted me to do was cure a sick patient. I cured him easily, and after a few hours, I was let out. I waited outside for Bob and when he came out, he looked defeated.

“I don’t think I did well,” he said. We were both really sad when he said, “Relax, I’m just joking! I did really well.”

We waited in our dormitory when the letters came out. Our fingers were trembling as we opened the snow-white letters and read the paper. We both looked at each other and said together, “I passed.”

We screamed with joy and went out for dinner, but when we were about to get in our car, Jerry came and pushed me to the wall. Jerry was mad that he didn’t pass the easiest power test. He led me to a bridge and pushed me off. The wind was whistling in my ears and when I hit the water, I lost consciousness.
