Once upon a time, there was a zoo that contained lots of animals. The zoo did not have enough funds to allow the animals to eat, so many of them wanted to escape the place. A group of animals, including a bird, an otter, a horse, a flamingo, and a rhinoceros, had had enough. They started cooking up a plan. When the zookeepers came to check on them, they would run through the door and lock their handlers inside their cages. That night, they tried to execute their plan, but the flamingo got stuck in the mud. The second time they tried, the rhino was too big to fit the door. But the third time, the rhino broke the bars and escaped, and the others ran through the opening that the rhino created. Eventually, they made their way out of the zoo, but fell down into a sewer. The animals explored the sewer, anxiously trying to escape the vast sewer system. The animals explored for hours and hours, but they still could not find the exit. Otter, who had an urge to swim, jumped right into the dirty sewer water. The band of animals waited for about 15 minutes, and Otter still hadn’t come out. The rest of the animals decided to jump right in the sewer water and follow their friend. Then, their eyes slowly started to close.
When the animals woke up, they saw an endless plain of monsters and creatures. Every creature was different, and each had its own unique feature.
”Wow!” exclaimed Horse.
”Wait. We can talk? WE CAN TALK!” yelled Rhino.
“I know we can talk, but shouldn’t we be focused on finding Otter and getting out of here?” said Bird.
“Can we stay here just for one night and look for Otter in the morning? He can’t go very far,” asked Horse.
“Fine, but you have to help find water and food,” demanded Bird.
Each creature had its fair share of weirdness. Some animals had two heads. Others had six fins. Any random creature you could think of, it was there. Horse knew that she had to help find water and food like Bird asked, so she said that they should split up and first try to find a source of water. Bird decided to stick with Horse, and Flamingo decided to stick with Rhino. They said their goodbyes and walked in separate directions.
Flamingo and Rhino didn’t have much luck. It turned out that they were just walking in circles. But Bird and Horse eventually found a watering hole, and in it, they found Otter eating a fruit. The fruit was purple with a big stem on the bottom, different than anything they could find at the zoo, or even on Planet Earth.
