On July 28, 2023, North Korea opened its doors to allow visitors from China and Russia. North Korean leader Kim Jung Un, Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, and Vice President of the National People’s Congress Li Hongzhong were prominent figures as they watched the 70th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. On Thursday’s night’s parade, North Korea showcased new drones and short-range missiles designed for nuclear weapons. Earlier in the week, Kim Jung Un presented illegal ballistic missiles to Russian Defense Master Sergei Shoigu. It was clear that Russia and China were standing by North Korea, even with the illegal missiles and nuclear buildup.
