You may hear on the news about famous people who started a company or gained a lot of attraction on social media sites like YouTube in a short amount of time. And it makes others who spent way longer times and get a fraction of the results ponder how they do it. Is there a special technique, or is it pure luck? For me, my parents always said that hard work plays a huge role in being successful. However, when it comes to being lucky, I’m not that type of person. That is why I believe that while hard work plays an important role in the path to success, luck also plays a key role.
Take in-game trading for example. If you start small and get a great donation that can boost your chances of getting something better, that is considered lucky. Luck is the thing that really kickstarts success but yet still feels like a small boost. This is a thing some people overlook. For example, when a channel on YouTube gets kick-started, what started the kickstart? Maybe another big content creator shouted you out or could it be something else like a collab with someone who has an already big existing channel? Another example is making a profitable business. I’ve seen some videos on YouTube where someone gets donated a lot of money. Using this money, they can create something that can make them successful. And sometimes there are exams where the questions are what you have been studying forever. It’s a small thing that can make a big difference.
The worst thing is that some despise luck like it doesn’t play a big role in success. I know it is hard to believe that something that is by chance can influence the future. However, luck is very important and is something some people don’t take in when explaining how they became successful. Personally, I like people when they say that luck played a role in their success because I like to believe that things can play out great. You can still have a happy enjoyable future life instead of thinking that to be successful, you need to practice 24 hours a day with no breaks and no entertainment as well as be number 1 in your school. It just makes us view you as a nicer person and also makes us believe that even when we don’t work hard, we can still succeed as well. And that is a better thing to think about.
