Crumbling Legacy

Once charred planet, now green once again,
A previous epitome of our sins, scars all but gone.
A paradise held back by our hubris, now free to reclaim its glory,
Nature’s realm, now dotted with life, leads a path toward a new dawn.

Our tombs, fiery infernos, now soothed, reclaimed by nature’s creations,
Our craters, mile-wide gashes, now green, its scars eroded with age,
Our factories, sapping out life, now covered in vines reaching the sky,
Our cities, once dense metropolises, now jungles of steel and foliage,

During our lives, the world lived in smoke, belches of ash covering the sun,
Now, nature rules its kingdom once more, free from the shackles we create.
In our wake, after our passing, may nature retake its home,
From our ashes, the world reborn, a more prosperous future awaits.
