Canadian Swifties get Their Wish, but They have to Pay a Lot for It

Taylor Swift’s fans are called “Swifties”. Archana Shivraj and Eleanor Reid are two of the Swifties and have been pleading for months for Taylor Swift to come to Canada. Taylor Swift is only performing in Toronto, Ontario in Canada next year. This is a dream come true forCanadian Swifties.

Archana Shivraj is 11 years old. When she was sitting on her bed and watching her phone one day, the news finally came: Taylor Swift is performing in Canada. “I ran into my mom’s room and was like, ‘Taylor Swift is coming! Can we please, please, please go?” Archana said. According to CBC Kids News, Archana may get her wish, which is seeing Taylor Swift perform live, but she will have a very hard time getting there.

Another Swiftie, Eleanor Reid, has almost has the same feelings as Archana about Taylor Swift. “I just love how open she is about her life and mental health,” said Eleanor. “How she expresses herself, but also how much she cares about her fans.”

Taylor Swift has not performed in Canada since 2018. Archana and Eleanor are both Swifties that are worried about getting a ticket and they may not be able to see the show. The many people who wanted a ticket had even crashed the Ticketmaster’s site!

The average amount that people will pay for one ticket on live, is 2334.56 dollars, according to TicketSmarter! On the concert date, nearby hotels cost 3471 dollars, according to Miles For Family! Taylor Swift also offers multiple VIP packages, which costs 350 dollars to 1,249 dollars. Those prices are very expensive for an average family to afford. Taylor Swift’s million of fans all want to go to her concert, but they can’t all go there due to the high costs and limited spots.
