Book Review: Spy School

Do you like mysteries? Do you like spy stories? If you do, then there’s a book series that you might like. It’s called Spy School. Spy School is a story that follows the life of a boy named Benjamin Ripley, as he experiences the hardships in the school that’s training future spies. I’ll be writing about the first book, where he gets nearly bombed! To be honest, his life is probably more dangerous than an actual spy!
In the beginning of the book, Benjamin Ripley, or Ben, is still a normal student. The CIA, or Central Intelligence Agency, wanted to find a person to be the bait for a project. By luck, Ben was chosen and brought to spy school. The CIA lied about his abilities and made him look super pro. Ben tried out his classes and failed everything but his gifted subject, math. He befriended the ice queen and real pro, Erica Hale, friendly Zoe, camouflaged Warren, and lazybones Murray.

In the book, Ben later got caught in the operation against an enemy organization of SPYDER, and was kidnapped. Erica came and rescued him, so they teamed up. Ben racked the big brain of his and figured out that Lazybones Murray wasn’t normal. He was the mole and a part of SPYDER and was actually faking his incapability. Their plan was to bomb all the intelligent people in the USA. Fortunately, it got dismantled, and Murray was arrested.

The book’s plot was very interesting, and it was very climatic. Ben constantly gets targeted and his performance at school is really funny. This is a good book, and the series is good too. I recommend it to everyone who doesn’t mind a big, fat, chapter book!
