A single drop

Fills our seas,

Waters our crops,

Nurtures our trees.

Contained in each delicate flake,

Hidden in each patch of snow,

Lives in Earth’s rivers and lakes,

Allows bright flowers to grow.

Resides in oceans far and wide,

Inside each raging flood.

Surges through every tide,

Flows through our blood.

It is the driving force,

No matter how far from the source,

Water is around, water is here,

It powers all that we hold dear.
