Christmas is fun, but the funnest part is opening up all the stacks of presents! Lots of people celebrate Christmas, but no one will be happy if their Christmas tree doesn’t have any presents under it. Even the most advanced Christmas tree has some presents. The funnest thing about presents is tearing down the wrapping and checking out what you got! Maybe if you’re a little girl, you’ll get a fashion designer’s kit, or perhaps if you’re a little boy, you’ll get a toy truck!
Many kids love opening presents; some schools even have fundraisers so you can buy gifts for their families or friends, and the money goes to an orphanage or charity, maybe even another school that can’t afford stuff. The chances are the gift you receive from a friend might have helped a homeless person or a child shelter.
Opening gifts can help you realize how much your home, family, and friends mean. It’s not just opening presents that counts, giving them is nice too, but I still prefer opening presents because I don’t have a lot of money, I also don’t have a lot of time, but the people who give them feel great that they did something special, so opening the gift can help you feel gratitude.
Although everyone is like, “well, I love presents, but doesn’t buying a tree also cost money, so technically, decorating the tree is a way of showing gratitude.” Umm, no, the tree is just a decoration for Christmas; it doesn’t really mean anything special. So overall, keep opening presents! Just remember, don’t steal your sibling’s presents!
